Second print — corrected controllers, 103423B

Print 2FP-000306North AmericaLater printUnverified
This is a later print, number 2 in the run, not the first. The first print is First print — controller misprint, 103423A.

The corrected box. Nintendo reprinted it to fix the controller listing, and the fix was already in circulation by 7 April 2017 — about five weeks after release.

The same three marks place it, read the other way:

1. The part code ends in B — 103423B on the back. By the documented rule, B follows A.

2. The satellite code reads 00001, above the barcode. Iteration 1.

3. The controller panel is right. It shows the two controllers that work — the Wii U GamePad and the Wii U Pro Controller — and drops the Wii Remote configurations the first print claimed.

It is recorded because a first print is only identifiable by contrast. "Two controllers on the back" is not a defect to look past; it is the correct box, and it is what an unlabelled copy most likely is.

The UPC, the item number WUP-P-ALZE-USZ and the disc are all identical to the first print.

Notes

Recorded so the first print can be told apart from it, and so that a corrected box is not mistaken for a damaged or regional oddity. The correction is the point: it is dated, deliberate, and the reason the first print is identifiable at all.

No third print is documented. If a 103423C or a satellite code of 00002 turns up on a photographed copy, it belongs here as a third row.

Rarity is Unknown for the same reason as the first print — the correction's date is known, the quantities are not.

Source: Collector report, cross-checked against VGCollect, which catalogs the two prints as separate items — Brandon Green (his own copies, October 2026).
