Breath of the Wild reached the Wii U on 3 March 2017, the same day it launched the Switch, and it arrived after the console it was printed for was already finished — Nintendo had stopped Wii U production that January.
The first North American boxes carry a mistake. The back cover lists controllers that do not work with the game, and Nintendo reprinted the box to correct it within about five weeks. That makes this an unusually clean first print: the error is visible from across a room, and the correction is dated.
Two prints are documented, and three independent marks separate them — the part code suffix, the five-digit satellite code above the barcode, and the controller panel itself. The disc is the same in both, so only a complete copy can be placed.
